“ One of the best burgers I’ve ever had, certainly the best you’ll find in Rathdrum! A little bit of a wait and not a ton of seating but it’s well worth it. The burgers are pricey but you get a pretty good portion for the price and it’s usually two meals for me. The servers are always super friendly and helpful. It’s a little hidden gem here in town that’s definitely worth checking out! ”

“ I took my husband here for his first time. It was a busy Friday night and the one girl who was there was phenomenal! She provided us with great service. She was friendly, polite, quick and on top of our needs! I wish I had gotten her name. I can't remember exactly what we ordered, but neither of us were disappointed. The burgers were delicious and the onion rings were some of the best we've ever had, the Sriracha fries were great, but I personally enjoyed my husband's garlic Parm fries just a little more! “ Went to Penny's when another place was packed and so glad we did. No wait on Saturday at dinner time. I got the James Dean with onion rings. The meat here isn't the usual hamburger meat. This tasted smoky and had a little crust on it like it was grilled. Exactly how I like it! Onion rings were great. My son got the sweet potato fries with pamesan cheese and sauce and he loved them. My daughter got the chicken ranch with sweet potato fries and she loved it as well. One of the best burgers in N. Idaho! Highly recommended! ”

“ My family and I go here almost every two weeks. It is surprising how great the burgers here taste for being a hole in the wall so don't let the location turn you away as it is definitely worth a try. It's almost like they grow their own vegetables with how fresh everything is. The hamburgers are probably the best in the area with the perfect amount of grill but still juicy inside. The cheese they use is also really good with an awesome melting quality and the always fresh slightly toasted buns do not get soggy even though the hamburger is dripping. I can't believe it is almost a half a pound of meat since I usually get board of the taste from other places but I usually eat almost all of it from here; unfortunately, I get full. The customer service is great with very attentive waitresses that have a postive personality. The fountain soda, always fizzy, is the perfect amount of soda and syrup. They must clean the machine\nozzles constantly because the soda never tastes dirty. The whole place puts a lot of care into what they give customers. We were in there the other day and someone came in and said, "this is the best hamburger I have had in a long time". He also said the fries are great but I can't remember exactly what he said and the family and I agree. ”

“ My friend and I had heard of this place on a Facebook food board. Neither of us had been there before. When they advertise "gourmet" burgers, they aren't kidding. We each ordered different versions of their mushroom burgers, and ordered different fries as an add-on. Not certain I have had better fries, as the topping sauces were really great. We split the burgers, and both were fabulous. The gal behind the counter grew up around Kellogg, and had interesting stories. Definitely give Penny's Pit a try if you love burgers and fries. ”

It was a 1 pound with all the fixings. A bit greasy, but what good hamburger isn't? The fries are also great!
